Education & Resources

Education and training can set the foundation for your success. That’s why education is at the very core of WALP.

Professional Designations

Certification is the standard for proficiency within the Landscaping Industry. By having certified professionals on staff, you are making an investment in your company and an educational commitment to your employees. Certification programs offer our Industry an educational resource that enables us to create a qualified and experienced workforce and recognize those individuals. WALP is proud to recognize Landscape Industry Certified Members and ecoPro Certified Sustainable Landscape Professionals that have made a great investment in their future.

As competition increases, customers will demand knowledgeable and well-versed individuals to access and serve their needs. If you are not equipped with the essential skills performed in the Landscape Industry, you may be left behind. As customers themselves become more educated, shouldn’t you?\

Annual Conference

Gain insight into the Green Industry’s future when you attend WALP’s Annual Conference. Whether your focus is residential, commercial, design/build, installation, and/or maintenance, you will learn from both the experts on the panels and your peers in the audience.

The WALP Conference provides superlative sources for both snapshot and big picture views of the industry today and tomorrow. Don’t miss this exceptional opportunity to gather the latest information from industry experts, exchange ideas with others facing similar challenges, and build a personal and professional network for the future. Obtain CE credits for both Landscape Industry Certified and ecoPRO (self-report).

WALP Education Foundation

Since its inception, the WALP Education Foundation has funded educational excellence by awarding scholarships to students of the Green Industry. These future leaders will define the standards of professionalism and use their education to meet future challenges of the Industry.

Two scholarships are awarded each year to students who are enrolled in a technical or community college offering a landscape/horticulture program. High school seniors planning on attending a college program are also eligible. Scholarships are based on merit and/or need. Candidates are evaluated on academic standing, industry and school involvement, leadership potential, and financial need.

If you would like to help the WALP Education Foundation continue their efforts to prepare our future leaders for all facets of landscape and lawn care contract, you can contact the office [email protected].
