2018 Northwest Landscape Industry Conference

Workplace Harassment

Friday January 19th, 3:30 - 5:00 PM
PresenterErmelindo Escobedo

When it comes to workplace harassment it is important to clarify the following questions:

  • What is harassment?
  • How do you prevent harassment from occurring?
  • What sorts of policies should be in place?
  • What should managers do to protect their employees?
  • If a complaint is filed, what steps should be taken?

Participants will be given interactive exercises to address harassment incidents and learn the appropriate way to respond to each. The training also includes how to deal with similar situations that are negative in nature but are not legally considered harassment. At the end of the workshop, the participants will have been educated on both negative and harassment examples and will have the tools to be much more comfortable when dealing with these situations.
