2018 Northwest Landscape Industry Conference

Before you Battle for Customers, You Have to Battle for Employees

Saturday January 20th, 3:15 - 4:45 PM
Presenter: Terry Delany

Description: Finding great employees is always tough, but when the economy is hot it can seem darned near impossible.  We've all heard a business owner lament, "you just can't find good people".  Well, there's just as many "good people" out there in hot and cold economies but you've got to know how to get their attention.  Terry has developed a boatload of innovative ways to attract the best candidates and tested them in hundreds of companies (hint: writing great ads is important but the real trick is building the perfect bait).  He's also got a ton of tips and tricks up his sleeve that will let you know who's really sitting in front of you during an interview.  If you're struggling to find and keep great team members, call Terry today.

About Terry: Terry graduated from The University of Arkansas (Wooooo...Pig Sooie!  Razorbacks!!!) in 1995 with a degree in Landscape Design and Urban Horticulture.  He spent the last 6 months in a professional internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  He worked in "The Land" attraction in EPCOT, collaborating with leading scientists from around the world in the hydroponic greenhouses there.  Terry was involved in one of the first tests commissioned by NASA to grow plants in zero gravity.
