Our New and Exciting Mentorship Program


Have you ever wondered how someone else became successful in the Landscape Industry, solved a problem, or tackled an issue that keeps one awake at night? Have you ever looked to connect with another WALP member to share ideas and strategies?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then the WALP...Connect program was created just for you. It's a chance to connect with other Landscape Industry Professionals and either share your knowledge or learn something new.  You will meet a few times a year, tackle an issue or two, build camaraderie with another member, and improve your business.

Best of all - the only cost is your time and willingness to be open and work with another member as either a mentor or a mentee.

How it Works

WALP...Connect is a no cost benefit to members that connects similar size/type contractors in non-competing markets to tackle business issues. We look forward to matching you up to promote success in your company.

Fill Out an Application Expressing Your Desire to Join "WALP Connect" and Provide the Following Information

  • Service area
  • Number of employees
  • Service mix
  • Areas of business you would like to address/areas you have as strengths
  • Sign a privacy agreement
  • Members understand that this is self-directed with some help from the committee/staff

Are you interested in becoming a mentor? CLOSED
Are you interested in becoming a mentee? CLOSED

Application Deadline:

The application deadline is April 1, 2017. Then, in mid-April 2017, a WALP representative will contact you to connect you with your mentor or mentee and you can get to work, learning and engaging with this like-minded landscape professional.  We look forward to matching you up to promote success in your company!

Members are Matched

  • By the WALP Connect Committee

Members Meet

  • Minimum of 3 times over the course of 12 months
  • “Launch Meeting” to introduce and talk about “game plan”
  • One visit each at each other’s location/market area/job sites
  • Each location visit is to focus on the hosting company
  • Time of visits, schedule, etc. to be worked out by each member
